I'll admit it, the only reason I bought this initially was the price. I mean, less than a tenner for 6 CD's, and over a hundred songs, many of which I'd never heard before, has got to be great value for money!! After some initial problems with my order (check the forums for the fulls story!) it arrived a few days before the actual sceduled day of release - good start!!
I've never really been into the offerings of Earache records, generally finsing them too brutal for my taste. However, over these 6 disks I find a really great mix of music; there aren't any particular stand-out tracks, as it is really all the artists features at their best so obviously everyone would have a different favourite track. And, as with any of these things, there were tracks I hated (admittedly, I was never a HUGE fan of THe Bezerker anyway...) but these were out-weighed by the great tracks. Earcache tend to be predominantly death/black metal(and grindcore I suppose), but this isn't such a bad thing, and it really has opened my eyes to the huge range of artists earache have to offer!! And for £9.99, you really can't go wrong!!
